POSITION ANNOUNCEMENTS

CEQA/NEPA and ESA Consultation Specialist

Robertson-Bryan, Inc. (RBI), a multi-disciplinary consulting firm of engineers and scientists has an immediate opening for a part-time or full-time Scientist in our Rancho Cordova, California office. We are looking for a highly qualified, industrious, and motivated individual to work on various projects involving preparation of CEQA/NEPA documentation, preparation of technical reports, and conducting Section 7 Endangered Species Act (ESA) consultations associated with CWA 404 permits. We offer flexible working hours/location and industry leading salaries, benefits, and bonuses.

DUTIES

Primary duties will include assisting firm principals with preparing CEQA/NEPA documentation and conducting ESA consultations for client projects that require a CWA 404 permit. Other duties will include preparation of technical reports, leading meetings, proposal preparation/support, and staff and project management. 

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications and skills.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Degree in an Environmental Sciences field or a minimum of 6 years work experience in a consulting firm or government agency performing the above duties.
  • Expertise and experience in preparing CEQA/NEPA documentation. 
  • Expertise and experience in conducting Section 7 ESA consultations with (National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and/or U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS). 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and management skills

 Additional Skills that are not Required, but Preferred: 

  • Experience in preparing environmental permit applications (CDFW 1602 and CWA 401, 404).

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Staff/Project Engineer

Robertson-Bryan, Inc. (RBI), a multi-disciplinary consulting firm of engineers and scientists that provides water, wastewater and power resource engineering and environmental services, has an immediate opening for a full-time Staff/Project Engineer in our Rancho Cordova, California office. We are looking for a highly qualified, industrious, and motivated individual to work on a variety of wastewater treatment plant performance assessment and design projects. Position Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Performing engineering work for wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure planning and design projects
  • Designing and implementing WWTP on-site evaluations
  • Performing WWTP and water quality field studies
  • Performing environmental modeling
  • Data entry, analysis, and management
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
  • Preparing cost estimates for various wastewater projects
  • Assisting in proposal preparations

Required Skills 

  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and articulate
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong Excel skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Work well in a team environment and independently

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering – Master’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years consulting firm experience working on wastewater projects also preferred
  • EIT or P.E. in California

We are looking for a highly qualified, industrious, and motivated individual to work on various projects involving municipal wastewater NPDES/WDR permitting, water and wastewater quality monitoring, and special studies. Primary duties will include assisting firm principals with municipal wastewater NPDES/WDR permitting, effluent and receiving water quality monitoring, water quality analyses, conducting permit-driven special studies, and staff and project management. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate shall possess the following qualifications and skills.

  • Master of Science degree in an Environmental Sciences field, or a minimum of 6 years work experience in a consulting firm or government agency performing the above duties.
